Now that it is the last 3 weeks before graduation, we have received no letters or phone calls. Not even his girlfriend. Is this unusual or are they just busier than before? I thought that as time went by, they would have more time! Just concerned. Thanks!

  1. last 4 weeks they might be out in the field  they work them hard he'll write soon trust me it was like that with my son

  2. No usually when you get that close to graduation it is an extremely busy time completing there training. The mail deal is because if mail is sent home and then letters are sent back by the time the letters get there the soldiers have already left for there AIT. Alot of time is spent out in the field and finding time to actually write is not there. Also the only phones that we had were pay phones in our company area and you had to earn that privalege.

Enjoy the graduation when you go up. Be proud.

  3. If he's at Marine Corps basic training, he definitely doesn't have time to write. They are doing the crucible, having their final drill, final inspection, preparing for graduation, all sorts of things are going on. It's completely normal (If you're talking about MC BT). I can't speak for any of the other branches, as I don't know.

  4. The last few weeks are extremely busy for a soldier in training. They have to finish up their training and make sure they qualify in everything in order to graduate. They are also in the field for awhile, so that may be why you haven't heard from them. You should be receiving a letter or invitation from them for their graduation soon if you have not already. And i'm sure you'll hear from them soon.

  5. Take it from an Army girlfriend...its normal.  Mine wrote almost everyday for the first part of basic but toward the end no one heard from him.  They are going through a rough rough rough time at this point and hardly have a minute to breath.  Your soldier isn't trying to tell you anything so don't worry!  Trust me, when you see him at graduation, you will see in his eyes that everything is okay.  Best of luck to this new life you are entering with him!

  6. Might be trying to tell you something????
