Koeman admitted that his side loses its concentration and focus while playing against weaker teams, and urged his troops to put in a better performance against the outfit from Waalwijk.
“We have found life difficult against the smaller clubs. In such matches, we have failed to play more as a team that had cost us crucial points. However, we must overcome on our mistakes and play with patience. I wonder how the team will perform this Sunday,
but I am also confident”, Koeman was quoted as saying to the Dutch media.
The tactician then went on to reveal that his side worked hard in training sessions to overcome their mistakes. He asserted that he would like to see an improved performance from his charges.
“I want to see development in my side’s mentality. We should not let ourselves down on Sunday and make poor choices on the field. But I need to see that the players wait for the right opportunity. We do not have to feel the pressure. Once we start to play
our natural game, then we are extremely dangerous”, Koeman concluded.
The Rotterdam giants recorded a morale boosting 4-0 win against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Groningen-c39119 and a 2-1 loss against Go Ahead Eagles in the
Dutch Cup.
Koeman would be hoping that his troops stage an exciting brand of football against the newly promoted side away from their home turf and bring all three points back to Rotterdam.
