  1. Because it's full maybe?

We have a septic tank also, they need to be emptied from time to time.

  2. It's probably full of "solids", and needs to be pumped out , by the "honey truck" man.

Another reason could be the lateral drain line(s) have been damaged ,or blocked ---- by driving a heavy truck over that area , or the ground shifted -- causing damage to the lines.

  3. The leach field is plugged.

  4. you have a problem ...your herring bone runs of pipes are full ..they are not filtering away ..hence your full septic tank ..septic tanks do not need emptying if working correctly ...you will need to call in an expert ..and all so get the tank emptied ..and once the filter drains have been sorted you will need to get the bacteria going again in the tank

  5. Some tanks if not properly maintained and a yeast product applied to it every six months can get a buildup of solids in it.  You can get it pumped out.

That being said.... we moved to a new home, for us, that had a septic tank that did the same thing.  We opened it up, and pumped it out.  Only to find that it had 3/4 solids built up that could not be pumped out.  We had to use a pressurized water to make it loose enough to be pumped.  It took three days to get all the solid material loosened suffiently to get the tank completely pumped out.

  6. because it over full and needs pumped ASAP call an expert now!
