Question:

We have just fitted a new bathroom sink and we have just noticed a surface scratch...any ideas for removing it

the sink is porcelain and the scratch looks like someone has drawn a pencil line about 4 inches long

  1. What is it made of?


  2. Try automotive polishing compound. It works wonders on small scuffs

  3. Try metal polish, sounds like something metallic has caused the scratch and may have left residue on the surface.

  4. Go to a plumbers merchant and ask for a 'bath rubber'. Should only be  a pound or two.

    It looks similar to a pencil eraser. If the mark is on the surface and not under the glaze, it should do the trick.
