  1. no sitting dock starts in wakeskating, you can take a few steps as your boat planes then jump onto your board but sitting would just rip you around..

to start, hold the handle just like you would while wakeboarding and center it with your bod.. again just like wakeboarding..\

one way to get up is to sit in the water with the board floating face up and you floating behind the board. Now put your heels on the board and keep the board afloat on top of the water in front of you. This will feel a little weird cuz you feel like you are going to leave the board as soon as the boat pulls you up. but really what will happen is when the boat pulls you up, your body weight is going to come forward and down causing the board to push into the water and stay under you.

another way is a bit harder for most begginers cuz it involves only one hand on the handle.. but you need to sit in the water holding the board with one hand. This means holding the board to your feet out in front of you and holding on to the rope with the other hand. When you get the slack out of the rope, you will be able too let go of the board because the water will be pushing it against your feet. Now you can put your other hand on the handle and you are ready to go

    good luck!

  2. I just wake skated for the first time 2 weeks ago. I did the wake board style get-up like zues described. it was super easy. got up the 2nd time and have no trouble at all now. drag momentarily so you can remove your hand from the board and put it on the handle....then its just like a  wake boarding get-up

  3. start in deeper water, it's better and more safe, and wear a life vest.

don't start slow speed-wise [the boat pulling the wake board], i'm telling you that out of experience. slow will cause your board to be submerged and you will fall.

Start with the rope over the middle of the board, lock your knees so your legs are totally straight to start off.

while being pulled up, you can crouch with your legs partially bent.

once all the way up, stand straight and as soon as you can switch the board so your left leg is leading. this part is the trickiest, but lots of trying helps!

    good luck

  4. wake skating is so fun, i think its easiest to start in the open water.. but ive never tryed starting from a dock... but i say try it

  5. Start just like you would with a wake board except hold the board up to your feet with one hand. Once the boat idles out the pressure of the water will hold the board to your feet and from that point on it's just like getting up on a wake board.
