We have many e.coli strains but particularly e,coli strain dh5 alpha is used for most of the experiments .?

DH5alpha E. coil is called a chemically competent E. cola.

DH5alpha E. coli does not require IPTG to induce expression from the lac promoter even though the strain expresses the Lac repressor. The copy number of most plasmids exceeds

the repressor number in the cells.
