Question:

We have to rise in love and not fall in love

Should we not revise our dictionaries? Would it be better if we would stop using the phrase "fall in love" and instead we "rise in love" ?

What are your thoughts about that and what does it mean to "fall" in love, when we could "rise" in love?

  1. cause falling in love is a slippery slope

  2. [1:1]

Romans 16:16 tells us to greet one another with a holy kiss...

so this kiss is for you.  (((k.s.)))

    "There shall be a root of Jesse;

And He who shall 'rise' to reign over the Gentiles,

In Him the Gentiles shall hope."

    - Romans 15:12

"Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us."

    - Romans 5:5

It is good to fall in love, when we fall to our knees (in humility) to our LORD... It is good to rise in love (in humility) for our Beloved Holy Creator.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts.  God Bless...

  5. You do have a good point, falling in love sounds kinda dangerous and helpless (which in a way i suppose it could be). To rise in love does sound nicer, it sounds like all we can do from then on is go higher and higher etc. However, the phrase "falling in love" has been used for centuries now and it would be hard to change it now. To fall for someone is beyond our control and sometimes just happens, hence, falling, which kind of explains it more realistically...

  6. well you rise only when you fall. you fall down in the pit and then rise above, its the same with love you first 'fall' in love and then 'rise' in it.

  7. Maybe it is that we fall in love as we fall in the sea with a dive.

And once we fall in going into deep, we take the other person by the hand and we rise together.  Love is rising yourself, helping others rising with you.  If Love is sweet, I do not mind falling into it!!!

  8. Well according to Leo Buscaglia author of the book Love and the book Living, Loving and learning the correct terminology would be growing in and out of Love this is definitely a couple of books worth looking into and there can be different terminologies for this odd but beautiful emotion.

But what most people consider love is nothing more then a infatuation.

Because Love and only true Love Is a person ever able to experience empathy it is in this devout act that one person would give their life so that the other person could still continue to keep living, shows the  true compassion to be considered the act of Love.

Everything else in all terms would be considered lust, sexual attraction, infatuation, smitten, adored, and breathless.

There is alot of people who are not aware of the difference between the two and I hope I was able to open a path that you seem so interested in and that is a rare thing to find in this day and age.

I also hope this has been of some help with your question on such an interesting subject.
