  1. maybe one of them was just hungry.

  2. I think it's Extremely normal!

  3. This is completely normal. In the wild, rats would normally leave a dead family member behind because the dead attract predators. In a cage they cannot do this so they try to eliminate the remains in any way they can. You have to remember they are prey animals.

Get her another female friend as soon as possible so she isn't lonely.

  4. yes rats will eat anything

  5. Yes this is normal unfortunatly. I have also seen them bury the other dead rat. What you need to watch for is if she starts going down hill now that the other one died. Its a known fact that if the rats were really close when one dies the other one usually will die within the week. They wont eat or drink and get really depressed and sleep more than what they used to. Try getting her another friend so she doesnt get lonely.

  6. The normal is to take the dead rat from the cage. and try to feed yout rat something.

  7. Yes it is normal. That will happen when you put  Mice/Rats/Hamsters in a cage together.

  8. That is normal for all rodents when they share a cage.  Sorry about your loss.
