We have wasp at our house their are ORANGE (A REAL COPPERISH BROWN) ???? Does anybody what they are???

We have small children and they are outside of their bedrooms and we would like to know what kind they are. What they are called? and how to get rid of them. Gasoline, wasp spray and they steadly charge throught it. Help please!!!

Spray their nest at night, when it's dark and cool with some kind of insect killer [Raid?].

When it's dark and cooler, they stay inside their nests and don't really come out.
