We have well water and it is high in lime?

Question

Is there any health risk? We have it tested every year and they say it is good water and safe. I was just concerned about the lime.Thanks in advance for any answers.

Lime in drinking water is not a health problem. It does require the use of softening chemicals or additional detergent when you wash your clothes, though.

we had a drilled well that after the 3rd year for whatever reason didn't increase in lime levels and we had to stop using it for the house. By that time our county was running city lines so that was a blessing. As long as it's being tested and they say it's within safe levels I'd think you're ok...who knows what we're drinking now?
