We homeschool in the state of Virginia.?

We are getting ready to leave Virginia. Do I have to let Virginia know we're moving?

  1. I don't believe you do.  If you are required to report to someone, you might let them know just to be considerate, but once you leave the state you aren't under their jurisdiction anymore.

    What you DO need to do is find out the homeschool laws where you are moving to.


  2. This country is not communist......Yet

    so no, you do not have to tell them if your moving.

    Now you might,depending on the district your moving to,notify them that you are home schooling.

    May I suggest the HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association). Thats why we live in Oklahoma, no hassles on this issue.
