We installed the water line to our fridge. now the water keeps running and wont stop

Call the maker. There may be some switch you have to flip or maybe the shut off valve is stuck open.

If the water valve in the ref where you hook the line to was old or sat without water hook to it for sometime the ref dual water valve is bad. If you had a power source to one of the solenoids all the time the soleniod would have burnt up by now.

sounds like the timer is stuck. Or the valve is stuck open.

Do you here a humming sound coming from the back of the fridge all the time? If so you need to check to see if the timer is turnning the valve on and off. This is some thing that most people can't do.sorry. But you can look at the back of the fridge and look for a blue or green valve and unplug the one that is humming to stop the water flow. then you will have to get a new one from the manufactour. If it is not humming one or two things mit be the problem. One is that the valve is bypassing and you won't beable to stop it with out replaceing it, and two you pressure mite be to high for it.
