  1. Check if the water heater valves are turned on all the way. You can also check for flow into the heater by opening the drain valve or the relief valve. If flow is good there then you have a clog in the pipe downstream of the heater.

The other possibility is that the pipes aren't hooked up right. Don't laugh - this kind of stuff happens all the time on new homes. They also could have gotten lazy and not flushed the crud out of the new pipes too - you can remedy this by pulling the shower valve cartridges out and flushing the valves. I had to do this one time on one of my own remodels: sawdust in the pipe collected in the valve and swelled up.

  2. The plumber is supposed to flush the system before they install the fixture because there is a lot of debris in the pipe during construction. It is most likely that the soldering debris got stuck in the hot water section of the valve. Believe it or not, most plumber don't even know that they need to do that. If you are handy with tools and you are willing to do the work yourself, disassemble the mixer if it is a delta valve (single valve for hot and cold) or clean the hot water valve if you have separate hot and cold water valves.

It is very unlikely that the part is defective or the hot water valve is not fully open. Good luck.

  3. Have someone come in to look at the water heater. if that doesn't help try listening through the walls. if it sounds like a drip, you probably have a leak in the pipes behind a wall. i was a plumbing assistant so plumbers have to look at the problem to troubleshoot

  4. Call a plumber.

  5. go look at your water heater and make sure the valves are turned on.  if they are, with the hot water valve turned on, spray cold water into the valve.  this may help with an airlock problem.

  6. Start by checking all the shut off valves from the hot water heater water exit to the faucets themselves. I would even check the flow valves going into the water heater. You may have a water heater with mineral buildup and it's bad itself. I had this problem with one sink in our bathroom. After replacing the delta faucet it now works fine. My shower head is now starting to slow down. We remove it and  soak it in a pan of CLR to remove minerals. My problem was also only with the hot water.

  7. Moen faucets utilize a cartridge, and there are some rubber gaskets on the side, that sometimes come loose, thus slowing the water flow.  You will have to turn off the water, and remove the cartridge.  If you aren't familiar with the dis-assembly of these types of faucets, it can be very frustrating.  There are 2 different types of cartridge for Moen, so you need the old one, in order to match it correctly.  Good luck!

  8. Try calling a plumber, sounds like you have a problem.

  9. If your House is new,it will probably have, Pressure  balance or temperature assist tub / shower valves.

They have tempature limit stops under the handles to prevent you from turning the k***s to all the way to hot, that need to be adjusted. Its an easy task to do.
