We just got the appraisal done?

We just got the appraisal done. Our loan is through FHA we are wondering if the closing date still next friday ( two weeks)?

Do you have a loan officer, bank representative, processor? That's what they get paid for, to tell you the current status of your loan and how it relates to your closing. Call your loan officer. NOBODY here can answer your question.

.   You can make it.  Your "loan package" is complete.  It will be sent to the "underwriter" for a final look.  When she approves you, the loan papers will be printed up.  You will go in and sign them. They will be returned to the loan company for a final look.  They will "fund" the loan by wiring the money to the escrow company.  The deed will go downtown to the Recorders Office.  You will own the house 30 minutes later.

It could possibly close on that day, but then again it might not. The only person that can answer that question is your loan officer.I'm in the middle of an FHA loan, and we are scheduled to close on this friday, and still waiting on underwriting. We've had the appraisal back for two weeks, and still don't have the clear to close we've been waiting for! Be patient, and stay on top of this!! Good luck.

This is a tough question really because the appraiser isn't closing your loan. FHA is HOW you are doing your loan, but probably not who is servicing your loan. Your loan officer/mortgage company is who is servicing that loan. Undewriting is usually what can stall it up and ultimately what will make that determination of "closing date". Title has to receive the docs for it to close. If you really want to know if something is going to close on time - call the title company and find out if they have all the docs from the lender. :)
