We keep getting disconnected and the message says local area connection a network cable is unplugged any ideas

check your network cable connection. make sure it is firmly connected to your computer and the other end is firmly connected to your router/modem. sometimes the little tab that holds the plug/connector in place breaks off and allows the connector to slip out a little. Make sure this isn't the case with your cable.

The network cable is the one that looks like a telephone cord except the connector is a little wider.
