People who believe in the Rapture typically spoil for a big fight to break around in Israel. That's why Bush did little to help resolve conflict in that region.

It turns out Bush is more of a lip-service christian than a rapture-ist, and that has proven beneficial for the human race! After 6 years or so, he decided he didn't have the stomach for Rapture and shied away from the button.

Rapture-ists believe there must be a big war to bring Jesus back. And guess what? That big red button is within grasp. And a rapture-ist from remote Alaska might calculate that Russia's missiles are targeted at the lower 48, and so what if nuclear winter comes to a frigid place where it's night 6 months a year?

In any case, Palin would have her hand on the big red button. A phone call at 3 am might not be the "do you know where your daughter is?"-type call.

I am an Obama supporter.  However, I will not judge another mother, for something that has happened to her family.  I do not agree with her choice where no abortion should be allowed, for any reason. but I do admire her for her choice regarding bringing her Down Syndrome child into this world.   Politics give us the opportunity to find out many things about the candidates, and we should be at least fair to them all.

I would not vote for this lady, but I do not condemn her for a happening in her family, but I do congratulate her for one of her choices, re her Down Syndrome  child.    We must give credit where credit is due and stop just picking on anything to try and belittle a person.

There is this thing we all like to call "Free Will." No matter how good a parent you are and how you raise your child you cannot put a hold on them and live their life for them. Any parent will tell you that. There are millions of good moms in the world that have children that are not perfect and make mistakes. You cannot judge someone character over someone elses actions.

Governor Palin's website clearly states that she favors contraception. She probably had "the talk" to her daughter.  Any responsible parent does. She lives in Alaska, not under a rock.

Assuming that you paid attention in s*x ed, you must surely know that birth control often fails.  Condoms have a substantial failure rate. Birth control pills don't work if a woman forget to use them or takes other drugs like antibiotics.

Teens often think that they are "bulletproof" and it's "not going to happen to me."

Even adult women get pregnant unexpectedly.

There is no more reason the expect that McCain will die in office than that Obama would if he were elected.

Palin is eminently qualified by virtue of her long service as an appointed and elected official.  

She had more experience than Barack Obama yet no one has ever questioned his lack of experince or qualifications for office.

Obviously you would not vote for McCain whomever he chose but do NOT insult a qualified woman as a reason to vote against him.

Doing so insults tens of millions of woman across America.

It pisses them off as well as the men who see how well they perform as working mother getting things done instead of just talking stuff to death.

That's why McCain/Palin's poll numbers are rising and why they will WIN.

Now on to your point..  Umm  my parents raised me and my brother and sister fantastically and yet I still had s*x while in high school.  Obviously you can see how well of a mother Palin is because the daughter is being responsible by having the child and marrying the father..

maybe more teenagers girls who get pregnant should take a page out of what Palin's daughter is doing.

Now of course I don't advocate teenagers getting pregnant but if they do..  this is the best course of action, followed by adoption..
