We live in Bc but worked in Alberta, so filed our income tax in Alberta-how do we get a carbon tax rebate?

We own a home in BC; so I think we should get a rebate too

  1. plus is just a meezly $100!  Your Alberta Oil Dividend was 4x that. stop being greedy!! Lol.

    Most retailers here in vancouver jumped the price about $0.05/litre even tho the "carbon tax" was supposed to be $0.023/litre.

    Between the increase on gasoline, natural gas, propane and utility bills My calculation this $100 will offset the new tax for 23 days.

    Unfortunmately there are 365 days in ayear and have a feeling they will only pay us the "credit" for one year while we swallow the pill

    152.9 a litre and this government thinks they can bribe us

    with 100.00 !

  3. If you filed in Alberta, then you're out of luck.  You had to file as a BC resident to qualify.

  4. If yuo worked in Alberta, but live in BC, you should have filed a BC tax return. Income tax in Canada is based on residency. It is not based on where you work, unless you OWN a business that is permanently based in another province.

    Based on what you've written here, you have misfiled your income tax return.
