  1. The Derby is the 10th race on a 12-race card that begins at 11 a.m. Eastern time. Post time for the Derby is listed at 6:04 p.m., but the race has gone off at 6:15 and 6:16 the past two years.

    So...It's supposed to be 6:04 pm, EST.

    Btw, tv coverage has been on since 11 am via ESPN.

    NBC will begin national coverage at 5 pm today.
