Both the batters and bowlers have contributed equally to steer their side to get what they have been dreaming and struggling for since long.
Because of his team’s all-rounding performances, Pietersen churns out confidently that they are one of the best units in the International cricket right now.
Talking to the media yesterday, he said, “We’ve got a real good structure in place and great people in place as well, the management and players, there are a lot of mature players.”
He further told, “We actually look like one of the senior teams in world cricket right now, whereas two, three, four, five years ago there were a couple of players who were experienced but we had a lot of inexperience.”
He also claimed, “So I think we’ve got all departments covered and as long as each individual, including the guys in the squad who aren’t playing at the moment, keep striving to get better we’ll be okay.”   
The 27-year-old right hander made his Test debut in 2005 against Australia. He has played 77 Tests and scored 6186 Test runs so far with the help of 18 centuries and 25 fifties.
