  1. Firstly we can never make any hole into earth as the last layer is core in which is liquid filled.

If by chance we created a hole and drop a ball from one end it will not go beyond the center of earth as gravity is maximum at that point.

  2. Lets say you are talking about drilling a hole through the center of the earth and drop a ball into it.

Imagine a long rubberband stretched vertically between to clamps 12 inches apart. Now glue a marble to the center of the band. Now pull it 6 inches horizontally and let go of it. It will first accelerate towards the center then continue to ALMOST 6 inches the opposite side. Then it will continue to oscillate back and forth until it comes to rest when the rubber is vertical again and the marble is in the middle.

This is what would happen to a ball dropped into a hole drilled through the earth. It will oscillate back and forth between the 2 surfaces and come to rest in the center of the earth. Which, by the way, is where it will have no weight.

  4. First, earth is a spherical thing. Universe is all around. Even beneath your feet if you dig nearly 7900 miles (diameter of that sphere), drop yourself in it you'll emerge with feet first in mid-Indian ocean (assuming you are in America from where such questions emanate).

As you said, if you drop a metal ball it will melt and be one with the molten core of earth's center. If you manage to make a hole through that so that the hole is 'through' to Indian Ocean (antipodes from America), and drop something it will oscillate between both surfaces with a period of nearly 86 minutes of time per oscillation.

  5. dont even think about trying it

  7. what do you mean 'till universe'?

do you mean a hole through the axis of the earth, to the other side?

well then the ball will fall will go out of other side then, it will come back because of gravity, it will come out of this end and do this repeatedly till it comes to rest at the center of the earth,

the force each time will be F=-Gx, where G is constant of gravitation and x is distance from center of earth
