Benfica star, Nicolas Gaitan, claims that his side must maintain their current momentum and end the season on a high note. The Eagles are touted as title favourites alongside their main rivals and the attacker insists that they will end up as champions if
they continue playing like they are now.
Portuguese giants, Benfica, are one of the top three teams considered to be favourites for the Primeira Liga. Although the current situation is ideal, Nicolas Gaitan claims that his side must maintain their superb form till the end of the season, so that they can receive a just reward for their efforts.

"We must maintain the momentum that the team is going through. We hope to reach the end of the season as we are now, even though we know it will be very difficult. We want to finish the season happily and go on vacation with the accomplishments,” he said.
The forward also revealed that the pressure to perform was on the Lisbon outfit but he expected them to shine given the quality of the players at the helm.
"The expectations are always Benfica to win. Sometimes games are simpler than others. But I think the team is strong and we can continue to win games, so that we can go forward,” Nicolas Gaitan was quoted as saying.
Benfica now host Olhanense at Estadio da Luz on the 30th of October in the Primeira Liga.
