We need suggestions for song for a lyrical dance...

Question

My daughter is 8 and planning on doing a lyrical solo this year and we need some suggestions! We would like something "new" so she knows the song before hand. Also, she is already using Chris Brown as another solo, so he is out of the question for song selections.

i dont know if this would be considered "new" but i love Absence of Fear by Jewel

Only Hope by Mandy Moore is an amazing song, but kinda overused = /

and i absolutely love The Voice Within by Christina Aguilera

Marie Digby has some lovely songs that make for some really nice lyrical numbers.

My 8 years old are dancing to Miss Invisible this year and the 9 year olds have chosen Realize by Colbie Callait.

Kate Voegele does a lovely version of Hallelujah.

Well, this obviously isn't new because it was featured in Ice Princess but, it is beautiful and perfect for a solo. I'm hoping to do one to it this year. It's: Reaching For Heaven by: Diana Degarmo.
