We need to give credit to England: http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972 – Cricket News Update
Pakistan skipper, Misbah-ul-Haq gave credit to England following their 9-wicket win in the 3rd ODI of the of the 4-match series, played at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, on February 18, 2012.
The Men in Green whitewashed their opponents 3-0 in the Test series, but were unable to bring the same fighting spirit to the ODIs, allowing England to take a 3-0 lead, and consequently winning the series.
“It's not a nice feeling to lose," said Misbah, who faced his first defeat after winning his last four one-day series as captain. "We need to give credit to England for the way they have come back after defeat in Tests. I feel they have played much better
cricket than us and were very disciplined.”
Pakistan were unable to gain an upper-hand over the visitors last Saturday, as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KP-Pietersen-c1806 blasted through the Men in Green’s bowling attack to  score a sublime unbeaten
111 - marking his return to form in style.
Searching for a reason for his side’s sudden drop in performance, Misbah felt that homesickness might, perhaps, be a factor.
The team has not hosted an international cricket match since 3 years, after the Sri Lankan team was targeted in terrorist attacks in Lahore - an incident which shook the cricketing community, and gave rise to security concerns. Since then, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 has been
hosting teams on neutral venues, such as the current home series, which is being held in the UAE.
“It is not that I'm giving an excuse on this matter but it happens when you are not playing at home," Misbah clarified.
Misbah has recently come under fire for his poor captaincy in ODIs from ex-pacers, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Waqar-Younis-Maitla-c96193, who have criticised his passive approach to the limited-overs form of the game.
Akhtar slammed him for not being strict enough with some of the senior players, and Younis pointed out that Misbah “can't sit around waiting for things to happen in one-day cricket.”
While the national team has lost the ODI series, they have the chance to salvage some pride, and mollify their fans this Tuesday, as they lock horns with England for the final match of the series, scheduled to be played at the Dubai International Cricket
Stadium.
