The head coach of AC Milan analysed their recent draw against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, and reiterated on the need to perform better if they are to progress further in Europe.
The Rossoneri outfit have not been in the best of forms of late and they have been looking to pile on the pressure to attain the level of performances expected of them. However, despite all the efforts made by the Rossoneri outfit, they have not been able to perform to the levels of standards expected from them.
The San Siro side have had a terrible campaign so far and they have not been able to string together a consistent run of matches together and it is to be seen as to how they will perform in the upcoming matches for the pride of the Rossoneri. From the 13 matches that have been played so far in the Serie A, they have only been able to collect 15 points, this in comparison to their competitors of last year, Juventus, is abysmal. The Turin giants have collected 32 points from a possible 39 points in the Lega.
They are well behind the race of the Scudetto and it would be extraordinary for them to be able to qualify for the Champions League. The problem with the Rossoneri outfit has been the fact that they have parted ways with many experienced players in the Lega which has left a hollow space in terms of leadership for the Rossoneri giants.
They have been underperforming for quite some time now and Massimiliano Allegri has remarked that he will be looking for his team to perform to the best of his abilities in the upcoming Champions League tie against Anderlecht. The Belgian champions held the Rossoneri outfit to a draw in the fixture at Milan, which irked many followers. Coach Allegri went on to state:
“Overall, our performance against Napoli on Saturday was good. There were some individual errors and these things can happen. Tomorrow will be a different match, but the team is in good shape physically. We hope that we won’t have to fight back, as it’d be better to take the lead. Lately we have been falling behind quite a lot and at times the comebacks don’t work. Mind you, at the start of the season we couldn’t even manage comebacks.”
The Rossoneri outfit will be facing off Anderlecht later tonight.
