We often imagine meeting alien beings who are similar in size to us. But could it be that this will not be so?

We tend to imagine meeting aliens who are the same size as us. They can fit through the same doorways as us, much like on Star Trek.

But who's to say that there are not aliens who are one hundred billion times the size of us? And they could pick up the Earth in the palm of their hand?

Could this happen?

anything could happen... but it isn't likely.... the planets in other solar systems are about the same size as ours, which means if they support life, it would be similar in size to us, give or take 5x

everything is conjecture, but more than likely, life there, will be much like life here.... there seem to be universal laws that govern everything

More likely that they're roughly the same size but some radically different shape, and are evolved to live in different conditions and would find our 'comfortable zone' very uncomfortable or even lethal.

I assume we're talking about intelligent aliens.  Most aliens, if they exist, are probably microorganisms.

Yeah. Or maybe so small the naked eye cannot see them.  But just as powerful.  EEW scary isn't it.

Given the diversity of planets, Solar Systems & Galaxy's in our Universe, its highly likely that alien life would also be diverse.
