The triumphant Kolkata Knight Riders skipper, Gautam Gambhir, has said that they are playing in the Indian Premier League not to only compete with other franchises but to win every time.
"For me, every game is tough and important. When I go on to the field, I just want to win the match. It's not about competing in the IPL, it's about winning every time,” said the 30-year-old left-handed batsman while speaking to the media reporters after
his side dethroned Delhi Daredevils as this season’s leading side with a comprehensive six-wicket win at the Feroz Shah Kotla, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 on Monday.
“I always look to win matches because you don't want to go back to the dressing room on a losing note. You want to go happy and for that feeling to come, you have to win matches,” the Knight Riders skipper added further.
After struggling in their initial few games at the start of the ongoing season five of the esteemed Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders have been the most consistent performers, after the Virender Sehwag-led Delhi Daredevils. With 17 and 16 points
respectively from 12 and 11 outings so far, both KKR and Delhi have already qualified for the tournament playoffs, while the other two positions are still up for grabs with five teams – http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Punjab-c833
and Royal Challengers Bangalore – competing.
Gambhir expressed satisfaction over his team’s performance so far, however, he urged the players, especially the batsmen to keep improving. The KKR skipper feels his team has peaked at the right time, however, he was not ready to be complacent after clinching
the top spot on IPL-V points table.

“When you have such players, you don't need to motivate them. They all are thorough professionals. One thing important for us is that we need to play well as a unit," said Gauti.
