  1. The problem is that those billions of litres of fuel is what allows you to go to bed with a full stomach, in a nice warm house, and sit behind your computer and write such comments.

  2. I'm sure that you have all the proof you need of this when you look into your heart you just know that the evil corporations are poisoning the Earth for their own selfish gain.

Not everyone shares your faith here, maybe the AGW theory is just a theory.

  3. Yes it does.  Everything is biodegradable.  It is all just a matter of time.

The question we have today is are we putting it in faster than the natural processes can recycle it.  If we just continued at the current pace, even if it was too much right now for the earth's systems to handle, those systems would grow into what's needed.

With our population still increasing, and it's output of plant food (CO2) possibly growing faster than what absorbs it, there can be a problem.  If we stop pumping out ever more people, the earth's ecosystems will begin to balance out.  Particularly so if we begin to reduce population.

  4. We don't typically pump the fuel into the air.  That would be idiotic.  We burn it to use the chemical energy to power our cars and power plants.  Very little fuel goes into the air.  That fuel that goes into the air gets oxidized eventually and converts to CO2 and a few minor gases.  That fuel that spills onto and into the ground feeds bacteria that eat it.  The Earth is a giant rock with an iron nickel core.  The left loves to pretend that it is alive but it is not.  There is a very thin layer of life on the surface as well as minor subterranean life but the earth is abiotic.  As a geologist, it is very irritating to me to hear references to the earth as if it is alive.  Words mean things so you should be more accurate.  Otherwise, your statement (not a question) is wrong from the start.

  5. oh ok

  6. how do you pump a liquid fuel into a gas.... i'm bewildered. Oh maybe you mean exhaust from our cars, got it. but, do you really know what is in the exhaust? what exactly is "choking our planet"? you need to elaborate to get a good answer..

  7. Perhaps you were refering to Saddam Hussein's retreat from Kuwait in 1991 when he lit 800+ oil fields on fire?

The fires burned an estimated 6 Million Barrels of oil per day.  Which would be 953,923,770 litres of oil per day.  Which also took 8 months to extinguish.

Come to think of it...1991-1992 should have been the warmest year on record with all that extra devil gas carbon released into the air for 8 months.

  8. chill out, the rains wash it back into the ground so we can pump it back out some days

  9. Does a person have to be an uninformed idiot to post here?

  10. You are correct.  We are fortunate that, thus far, over 50% of the CO2 we've emitted has been absorbed (mostly into the ocean), but the ability of the planet to keep absorbing our increasing emission levels won't continue to grow.  There's indications that the ocean may be nearing a saturation point, not to mention it's chemical make-up is changing (in negative ways) because of what it's already absorbed.

  11. Please  show me how we pump billions of liters of fuel into the air.  I have never seen anyone pump a drop (appoximately 0.00005 liters) into the air.

  12. And that is where the acopalypse come in.

  13. Sounds like a bunch of B*** S*** to me. What kind of "fuel" are you talking about?

  14. No measure it. The CO2 is taken in by the plants and recycles our oxygen and fossil fuels.
