We purchased a condo & plan to buy mortgage insurance. My spouse has medical condition. Would it affect?

The condo is in Singapore. My understanding of mortgage insurance is that in the event, either spouse is deceased, the remaining spouse will not be required to pay up the remaining loan of the apt. Is that the case?

The insurance company will ask you some health questgions.   So,  they may not accept your spouse.  It is better just to get some straight term life insurance instead.

Instead of "mortgage insurance", consider straight life insurance.

As long as you can afford the condo's mortgage payments on just your income, it shouldn't affect it.

We're talking about mortgage insurance, not health insurance, right?
