We r moving to Texas i have horses but i want to find out what it is like in Texas with having horses?

In Texas, it takes more land to support a horse than most states north of here. I have three horses on 15 poor acres, and they cannot quite keep up with it, Not even close in the summer. They thrive for the most part, just watch out for fireants, ear ticks(very similar to dog ticks), the occasional collic due to high humidity causing hay to mold or mildew.
