replace them with 135 volt bulbs, you can get them at a hardware,

There is quite a bit of vibration in ceiling fans so you want to use the correct bulb in them.  Also what William B said is good advice - go to the higher voltage bulbs, they will last longer.

i wouldn't think so.  if it's always the socket then there may be a defect in that particular socket.  you should then take the whole unit back to be replaced.
