  1. I'm surprised that in the age of global calamity and disaster anyone would still favour economic development to social welfare. Education equips us with know-how but tradition teaches wisdom and can enable us to apply what we have learned positively. The two work well together but each is doomed to fail without balance. "Scientific advancement is meaningless devoid of humanity".

  3. I don't know where your "rich tradition" is.  tradition is just an inherited pattern of thought or action, which means stubbornness to change.

    It's better that with your mindset, you stay where you are.

    BTW, why can't we continue development and still retain our rich tradition?  They are not mutually exclusive.

  6. The western (White man) method works, others don't. Japan and Korea could have never succeeded as well as they have without western methods. You need to do that too.
