  1. well you can start out with a performance like on stage do a play, dancing, signing and volleyball, sirades  to

  2. Congratulations and way to go .... an Environmental Club. I really like that.

    Recycling Bins for the classrooms.

    Recycling Bins in the cafeteria.

Have the office print everything double-sided.  I am willing to bet most things are single-sided copies.

  3. Are we talking a high school? a university? organic vegetable gardens get some people really fired up...

  4. Make sure the printers are set to double-sided by default.

  5. ask your principal to fund your club to buy recycle bins for classrooms

  6. Well, an obvious suggestion would be to clean up the area around your campus and perhaps, see about planting more trees on campus. Another fun little thing to do would be see if you could get permission to start a small little garden on campus in order to teach your members how to tend to gardens and such.

  7. Without knowing what size or how progressive your school might be.......

A recycling program is a great way to start if there's not one already.  Bins for separating paper, plastics, aluminum, dead batteries.

Organize carpools for students who drive.

If you want to get real ambitious, encourage the digital medium in all of your classrooms.  Paper is obsolete, and messy to boot.

  8. Your group could get together and examine everything you use during the day and then try and think of, or get info online on how to reduce what you use, either materials or energy, and how to recycle or find another use for what can't be used anymore.

    Good idea and good luck.

  9. Spread awareness! For ways to help be more enviornmentally friendly in your school go to www.bepartofthesolution.us

  10. You definitely have to get some type of recycling going on at the school .

Maybe you can get teachers to agree ( if they have a room with a lot of natural light ) to keep the lights off .

If you can' t plant trees by on the school property try a close neighbor to the school . ( tree farms will usually donate just for the PR)  GOOD LUCK

  11. Do not buy plastic unless it has the recycling triangle on it.

    Support recycled goods.

Eating meat has a detrimental effect on the land. Cattle grazing on BLM land and degrading it.

Pigs and the huge waste ponds

    Over fishing of our oceans

Chickens fed huge amounts of antibiotics and growth hormones find their way into everything including us.

Pull plastic bags out of trees and bushes.

Cigarette butts are litter though smokers do not seem to think so. The filters do not biodegrade.

Spay and neuter pets. The pelts of all the murdered pets not having homes are shipped to the asian nations where they are used as fur accessories

  12. To use the garden idea as a spring board, you could then have bins set up in the cafeteria to collect organic fruit and vegetable matter to be composted and then used to fertilize the garden.

  13. definitely get paper recycling bins in all of the classrooms.
