“We still have a lot of work to do,” says Kansas City Royals left fielder Alex Gordon
The Kansas City Royals left fielder Alex Gordon is showing great optimism ahead of new Major League Baseball season. He recently commented in the media and made a public statement that his team is ready to take any challenge to go into a new era where consistent
results will be the top priority of the franchise.
“We still have a lot of work to do, Just because we made these trades doesn’t mean we’re going to be right there in the mix. We still have to catch the White Sox and the Tigers, who have been doing it for the last couple of years. We definitely have some
work to do,” Gordon, the Royals’ left fielder, said in a phone interview and explained in detail.
He added and explained some more aspects of the Royals’ future plans, “But they’re doing their job, Dayton and all them, so as players we have to make sure we come to spring training ready to go. To be honest, it seems like we’ve been sitting on prospects
the last six years.”
Gordon’s himself performed wonderfully in the last Major League Baseball season. He did very well on the plate and performed with big heart achieving .294 hitting average along with 14 home runs, 72 RBIs and .368 OBP.
The late comments of Gordon also advocate that Royals’ will play with maximum fire power. The Royals have already plenty of good pitchers who also possess extraordinary skills to dominate any Major League team.
Their top three pitchers Bruce Chen along Luis Mendoza and Luke Hochevar did very well in the last season and achieved consistent numbers while again in the coming season, all three have a good chance to play a positive role in the upcoming MLB season.
In the recent past season, the 13-year Major League veteran Bruce Chen played brilliantly throughout the season and achieved consistent numbers of 5.07 ERA along with 11-14 win-loss, 140 strikeouts and 1.37 WHIP.
Luis Mendoza on the other hand, also did a wonderful job and achieved 4.23 ERA along with 8-10 win loss, 104 strikeouts and 1.42.
