I date back to 1930 and saw America respond immediately to all the crisis which came up.....But now everything is held up in Congress with Party bickering, they would rather we economically collapsed as a nation rather than drill while we find an alternative, that is if we need one...What to do about it!!

  1. The sad nature of the beast is it is all about the political gotcha game and political bodies more willing to see this country driven into economic ruin and surrender on the battle field than give an inch on their position - right or wrong.

  2. sure why not

  3. Ask the PNAC, they are responsible for the drilling restrictions.

  4. Vote every incumbent out.

  5. I agree with you in that they used to solve our problems lots faster than now.. I blame it on all the politicians trying to do what the party wants instead of what the country needs.. they are more concerned about their party and staying in power than the good of the country.. very sad deal..both parties are guilty... then you throw in the extreme liberal environmentalist type and that componds the problem.. I do believe the oil companies are doing every thing they can to drill what is available here though.. I have leased several hundred acres just recently in Texas and Oklahoma for drilling.. I had no inquires about leasing the minerals for several years  until the price went up though.. They are paying  $400.00- $700.00 an acre for a three year leases...I didnt give that much for some of the land and now the minerals are worth more than the land.... crazy deal.. no wonder oil is expensive.. I used to lease the stuff for$30.00 an acre and thought that was good.. Also I live on the Texas Gulf coast now and can see several rigs running just  a short distance from  the bay  .. lots of drilling going on in the Gulf now.. Helicopters are constantly going over the house all hours of the day and night hauling the workers to and from the drilling platforms.. you can definitely tell a difference.. the pace has picked up since the price of oil has increased so much.. Places like California and Florida burn me up though where they are complaining about gas prices and wont let them drill offshore there.. but they want us to do it over here in Texas and Louisiana and then sell it to them cheap.. It wouldnt bother me to see those folks run out of fuel... see if they changed their tune then.. Oh well just another part of  life I guess... laugh  By the way I date back just about as far as you do.. was born in an old chicken house by a cotton patch up in oklahoma where my folks were pulling cotton about 1940!!!
