We want to adopt int'lly. I am a US ctzn, my husband German. We live in the UK. Will this be difficult?

We want to adopt a baby, possibly from Africa or Asia. Will it be difficult due to the fact we live in the UK, I am a US Citizen and my husband is a German citizen. Which laws and rules do we follow?

  1. You go home and start from there. As far as adopting from Africa or Asia we have plenty of those here already British born.  


  2. You can make such an adoption right here in the UK. Children are not like Puppies that you need to adopt an African from Africa or an Asian from Asia only .

  3. You follow UK rules and private/international adoption has strict rules. You still have to be vetted and checked by social services. Not easy.

  4. first, you need to quit all of your crazy globe trotting.  once you settle down, then you can worry about raising a family.
