My husband and I presently have 2 boys and would love to add to our family the child that God wants for us. Our credit is fair, and my husbands job doesn't offer any kind of incentive for adoption. How does one afford this process and still survive financially. thank you.

  1. Well you could adopt from the foster care system that’s the cheapest form of adoption.

    http://www.childwelfare.gov/adoption/fos...

    Here is a link to adoption.com. http://adopting.adoption.com/

It lists all the different forms of adoption and also has  a pages on Affording adoption and adoption costs.

Good luck on expanding your family.

  2. Adopting a child as an answer to "God's calling" is a dangerous motivation to adopt.  Much to your disdain, your child probably will not feel like the trauma he or she experinced was ordained by God, or resent a God who would ordain such a thing.  He or she will also probably resent receiving the message that the purpose of his or her life is to be the answer to YOUR prayers.  Please do a lot of research about adoption and the needs of adopted children if you decide to persue adoption.  Also, wait until you can afford it.

  3. Maybe God can do something about that credit score, too.

Why can't two boys be enough?  If you can't have them yourself, what makes you so sure that your family isn't already complete?

There is a reason why adoption is so expensive--it's because there are few children available for adoption outside of foster care.

Why not learn to appreciate what you do have instead of focusing on what you perceive as a need.

Maybe putting your energy into your finances in the next year would be better for the children you do have.  Do you have college funds?

If you still feel like you don't have ENOUGH, I'd suggest talking with a therapist to find out what's missing in YOU, because a child can't possibly fill that.

    Good Luck.

  4. Why do assume God wants this for you?  If God really wants this for you, won't He provide it somehow?  Why do you not focus on what you do have, rather than looking for more and being dissatisfied with what He has already given you?

  5. Are neither of your two boys the child God wants for you?  I hope you haven't told them, as it will create feelings of inadequacy.

  6. I think this is a great idea i want  2 adopt 2=]

  7. Only private adoption is through-the-roof expensive.  Adoption a child out of foster care is much less so.  Call your Family Services office to inquire.  Happy Holidays!

  8. But please remember God's answer may be No.

  9. A adoption grant.

    Here is the list.http://www.affordingadoption.com/grants....

  10. I have five children that I adopted through the State.

If this is an avenue that you want to take, first thing to do is

contact your state Family Independence Agency.

I live in Michigan and it may be different in whatever state you live in, but here you have to take classes before you can be licensed for foster care.  You can decide what ages and even the  s*x of children you would like to first foster, and maybe (if the parents rights are terminated) adopt.

If you adopt through the state, there is no cost to you, just a wonderful blessing, a child to love for the rest of your life!!!

  11. God provided a way for us by totaling a vehicle of ours....LOL, but that probally isnt a good idea for u. I would pray for God to open up a way, and if adoption is right for you , then God will answer. Good luck!

  12. S e x is free, have one the natural way.

Or take in a foster child, there many kids in foster care whose parents' rights have been terminated, and from what I've heard the costs of adopting from foster care aren't nearly what private, infant & international adoption are.
