We want to adopt where do we start? we are in ontario?

there is alot of web sites but they dont seem to give me the info we need i just need to know who to call to get the ball rolling

Start with someone who can do a homestudy for you (a children's aid society or private adoption practitioner). The first step is to get the homestudy done (it will need police check, RCMP check etc. and will likely take 2-4 months depending on how quickly you get things done on your side and the pile of applications they have).

Couple of good adoption agencies that you can start with are Childrens Bridge and Cornerstone. At the very minimum, they will be able to point you to the right person depending on what type of adoption you are going for.
