PSV Eindhoven’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Georginio-Wijnaldum-c14629 has revealed that his side want to be crowned UEFA Europa League champions. He was talking in the wake of his side’s win against Hapoel Tel-Aviv in the group stage encounter.
The attacking midfielder scored the only goal in his side’s 1-0 win against the Israeli outfit at Bloomfield Stadium on Thursday, October 20.
The Eindhoven giants staged a far from pleasing show in the opening half, as the Red Demons attack failed to capitalise on their goalscoring opportunities.
In the second period, the Boeren started to show their class and played much better football on the pitch. They also missed plenty of opportunities early on in the second-half, but the breakthrough came in the 70th minute.

Wijnaldum stepped up to take the spot-kick and coolly fired into the back of the net. The home side tried to find the equaliser, but failed to find

Wijnaldum admitted after the match that his side failed to perform in the opening half.
“In the first half we didn't play well because we had a lot of stray passes and it was difficult to be positive because they had ten men behind the ball. The second half we played more passes and we found more space. We must play better passes at the beginning
of matches to make our opponents run more in the first half”, the midfield ace was quoted as saying to the media.
The Dutch International then went on to reveal that his side is aiming to become Europe’s second tier competition champions.
“We want to be champions of this competition. If you have a team like we have, with lots of good players, then you must play for the trophy”, Wijnaldum concluded.
All three points ensured that the Eindhoven giants keep their top position in Group C intact, while Hapoel Tel-Aviv remain unmoved at the bottom of the group, still searching for their maiden victory.
