  1. It largely depends on the age of the child. If he is just starting to learn ABC, you can teach him through pictures. After teaching a particular letter, have him show you where the letter occurs in a page of a book or a newspaper. Writing is always a little bit more difficult. If he's not yet three and a half, don't attempt to teach him to write. There are lots of books available in the market for teaching to write ABC, most books have a page where the child learns by tracing the letter over dots and then once he has mastered it, to write independently. The most important thing is not to expect too much of the child, praise him when he does it right and encourage him to do better when he does wrong. Do not pressurize the child and don't scold him when he gets it wrong. And don't tell him how easy it is. It will only lessen his self confidence.

  2. In reading the question above I would recommend a private tutor to teach your child.

  3. hi

to teach her how to learn abc you have various books available in the market. but the best way is to sit with the child and draw pictures of your own and teach her its name and the letter it starts with ie you can try the play way method. as far as writing is concerned you can take a blank paper and write dotted abc on it. then give the paper the child along with a few crayons or colour pencils and ask her/him to trace each alphabet with any of her favorite colour. with this she will find it interesting do it. then dont forget to appreciate her for whatever she comes up with... remember they best way to teach a child is to play with them.

    all the best

  4. Show and Tell

  5. How old is your child? Mine was 4.5 when I bought alphabets writing books & also wall posters. He picked up 80% of them after 2 months of writing (1 hr a day). I would read a book before bedtime & also asking him what alphabets there were.

It is better to start when the child is ready, like 4 & not any younger.
