why does everybody have to have a campfire? My wife is pregnant and we don't want Darius to breathe any of the campfire. Is this dangerous? What can we do?

  1. Campfires are to keep away bugs, make smores and cook food on, as well as warmth. The campfire won't harm your wife anymore than a well done steak unless you stands downwind from the smoke for 10 straight minutes and sucks it all in. Just have it sit downwind from the smoke and away from the fire. It's not the same as cigarette smoke, it's not filled with toxic chemicals, and while it is not good for anyone to breathe in tons of smoke, some campfire smoke won't kill your baby or anything.

  2. I went camping when I was... about 6 or 7 months pregnant. We usually go backpacking, but this time we did the easy, car camping thing and it was awesome just to get out and do something different!

We had a fire and the smoke was never an issue, if it blew my way I just moved to the other side of the fire.

It's definitely not the same as the harm caused by cigarette smoke - with that you're getting all of the toxins from the cigarette.

Besides, a campfire is a huge part of the experience! You can't go camping and deny a pregnant woman s'mores. :)

  3. I kinda think you are a troll based on your questions. I really don't think you are a parent at all.

  4. campfires are romantic lol not only that but they keep the bugs away he will be ok he probably breaths in worst things at home

  5. As long as you aren't burning treated wood then there isn't a problem.

You n your wife gonna sit around the camp site with no fire? How exciting!
