  1. one of the best places would be DaNang, there are lovely beach hotels and water sport facilities in easy reach. the people are very friendly and the food is great.

  2. You can go to Nha Trang. Nha Trang is the city that have the most beautiful beach in Vietnam. Da Nang is a second choice. You can water skiing there, surfing, diving,..... lots of fun stuff to do. Enjoy it!!!!

  3. The number one place in VN for a beach ho;iday is Nha Trang,It as a airport but not international, you would need to stay 1 night in Saigon or Hanoi, you can pre-book your flight to NT with Vietnam airlines

  4. Hello,

Like all the users have mentioned before, I also recommend Nha Trang and Phu Quoc for your trip (or anyone's trip) to Vietnam - if you love the sea.

But other than that, I think Lang Co is also a really nice place to go to. It is located (I think) about 200 km from Hue - you can either go there by train or cars - I recommend the latter though.

The coast is beautiful, there aren't many people and the resorts are OK too. So if you'd like to try something new, try Lang Co.

    Hope you enjoy the trip,

  5. Go to Vung Tau, it's a nice place

  6. u can stay at Ho Chi Minh city, this city is a great place for Xmas, by the way u can go to Vung Tau for beach sports, it s about 120km from HCM city. Have a nice trip/.I be there too/

  7. Hi,

All answers make good suggestions.  I've been to Vietnam 5 times and think Nha Trang is the best all-around beach city.  It has a very impressive cathedral also.

Keep in mind Christmas is a very expensive time to travel to Vietnam.  Many overseas Vietnamese (Viet Kieu) return home to visit family.  Hotels will be very crowded.

Decide where you want to go and make airline and hotel reservations early.

    Good Luck!  Happy Holidays!

  8. If you are planning to celebrate a christian x-mas, my advice would be to go to Saigon, the cathedral is beautiful. From there, it  is a two hour bus ride to the beach at vung tau, and a very short flight to Ha Tien or Phu Quoc, both of which have magnificent beaches.

    Enjoy your trip !

  9. Hi,

There are some beaches in Vietnam that you should not miss. They are Nha Trang beach and Phu Quoc island in the southern part of Vietnam. In the middle, you can visit Hoian beach or Thien Cam beach in Hatinh province and Cua Lo beach in Nghe An province. However, these beaches are not as well-known as the others.

In the northern part of Vietnam, Cat ba island and Halong Bay should be on the top of your list. They are worth to visit and you will surely have a memorable time there.

To find more information about these beaches, you should make a google search. It will give you more details about them. Otherwise, you can also post your question at some travel forum such as tripadvisor, virtualtourist or more specific, vietnam travel forum at http://www.azvina.com/forum/

You'll get more information about these beaches there.

Have a nice trip to Vietnam!

  10. It depends on how long you could stay in Vietnam. In this period it is too cold from the north to Nha Trang. I mean you have to drop Do Son, Cua Lo, Thuan An, Lang Co, Hoi An, Danang beaches... for this time.

Nha Trang, Phan Thiet, Long Hai, Vung Tau and Phu Quoc... are OK. But as other answerer underlined you: X-mas & New Year is a peak season in anywhere ( accomodation, foods and tranferts are too expensive with many surcharge and compulsorry services. Ex: to book the hotel you must book the Gala Dinner... ). Specially the flight to Phu Quoc are fully booked from the months ago.

So, If you love the beaches. Don't travel at Xmas - New Year period.
