Our cat is dying of cancer and we want to "paw print" him so we can have the actual paw-print for use as artwork on a memorial urn or stone, or maybe as a tattoo when he dies.

We just want a flat paw-print, not a mould (like in clay etc.) of the paw.

We don't want to make him ill with the ink on his paw that he will l**k off.

How can we paw-print him safely?

  1. You should be able to use non-toxic finger paints. Pour a little bit into a shallow pan, dip your cat's paw into it, then make the imprint on paper. Afterwards, wipe the finger paint off of his paw with a damp cloth.

  2. ask the vet or any pet shops

  3. im not sure if this is safe for animals. its safe for toddlers, but if you go to a toy store, they have kits that are easy enough for kids 5 years and up but its also easy to clean. i may suggest putting vasoline on his paw before doing it so it wont mess his fur up.

  4. how about using food die or other natural courings e.g. ketchup etc. btw im sorry to hear he is dying of cancer. My cat had to be put t sleep earlier this year and i made an urn out of pottery for her ashes.
