Shakib Al-Hasan, the Bangladeshi captain, said that his team wants to prove themselves against the stronger teams in the World Cup 2011, which goes underway from the 19th of February in Dhaka.
“We want to prove ourselves against the best,” Shakib stated at a press conference on Friday.
The two co-host teams, India and Bangladesh will be officially kicking off the tournament, when they clash out in the opening game on Saturday.
The young skipper insisted that his team is ready to cope with the pressure during the opener on home soil. Shakib stated that he is excited to perform against India, a team that are favourites to lift the tenth World Cup, as it would provide the Tigers

The 23-year-old all-rounder was confident about the form of his bowlers and the batsmen, stating that the team had improved immensely from their last World Cup appearance.
