My husband & I have 5 kids. We work hard. He is a forklift foreman & network technician. I am a Realtor & I work in hospitality management. We want to leave Utah for better home prices & better jobs. We would love an affordable home on a lake or pond & we were looking in Maine but have heard more than once that the people are rude. I work in hospitality & we are very friendly & would like to move somewhere with friendly people. We like 4 seasons, mtns & snow. HELP! Thanks a bunch.

  1. I lived in Vancouver Wash for a while it sounds like it might be worth you looking into.

  2. We have lived all over the place since being married and we love central Va.--- Roanoke ,Smith Mtn Lake, Bedford, Lynchburg. Affordable housing, good schools, friendly people, not as many mosquitoes as Maine

  3. Oh my gosh. I know exactly where you should move. COLORADO. I lived there when I was younger and it is heaven on earth. The mountains are the most beautiful things ever and the wide open prairries, and the hills, and mthe mountains, and the trees, and EVERYTHING is just so beautiful. I love it so much and I'd give anything to moe back. It is such a great place to raise a family and just please please try not to move around too much because that's what my parents do to me and it would really hurt your kids. So move to Colorado and stay there. Everyone (mostly) is so nice, accepting and oh my gosh if you'd ever like to know anything just e-mail me please at jooj.bean@yahoo.com and just so you know the jobs there are great, the cities and towns are all great, the people are great, and I love that place. It's my little heaven on earth. I just love the mountains. In the summer if you get too hot you just hike up a ways and tadah! Snow! It is just such a great place. Please move. Your kids wil definitely thank you later on. If you'd like anymore advice please contact me. Good Luck

  4. duh... colorado!!! it's definitely the place for you. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE.

  5. This is not true ma'am. My name is Anesa Curry and I live in Bangor Maine. Is more in Southern Maine (i.e Portland, etc). I used to live there. extremely rude. Then I moved to augusta! some people are rude, and some people are extremely friendly. We (ie my family) moved to bangor and then everything changed. so many people are friendly and the atmosphere is excellent! the American Folk Festival is coming up this month (Aug. 22d, 23th and 24th). But if you wish  to have a home on a pond, you might want to look up at aroostook county (I am originally from Presque Isle). if you wish to speak with me, I would be more than happy to help.
