This was very interesting. It seems that the noises that people are generating are making this come about. At least that is what scientists are looking at. Did anyone else happen to see this? If so, what were your thoughts?

  1. I also saw a documentary a few years ago on the aggressive nature of polar bears. While they sometimes seem to get along fairly well in close quarters with humans, there have been cases where they have killed humans just out of pure meanness.  Some have reported that a polar bear actually stalked a human for some distance before attacking, even out of what would be considered their territory.  It was not for food, as they did not attempt to eat all of the humans that were attacked.  They just do it because they're bored, or something.

  2. Polar bears are the biggest land carnivore on the planet.  When they get hungry, they look to eat smaller animals.  Some times these are great big animals like Walruses, sometimes they have to make do with smaller animals, like seals and penguins or you.

Well, they have to keep in training don't they? And there's not much else to do with a polar explorer if you find one wandering around your ice sheet.
