We will do differently in CLT20 2011, says Darren Ganga – Cricket News Update
Darren Ganga, the skipper of Trinidad and Tobago cricket team, has revealed that they will go to play the Champions League T20 2011 with a different game plan and try to accomplish the task which they left incomplete previously.
Ganga opines that the sweet memories of his team’s sterling journey to the final of the 2009 season have gone a long way to perk up the morale of the young players, who are h**l-bent to lift the coveted trophy this time.
Though the captain has hinted towards a new playing strategy in the coming tournament, he refused to reveal the details as he wants to surprise his rivals.
Talking to the media today, Ganga said, “Obviously, we cannot be predictable. So, there are going to be a few things we will do differently. I don't want to share that with you. We want to keep it as a surprise to our oppositions. Hopefully, we can start
well and bring lot of joy to the spectators.”
He further told, “If we can go one step further to what we did in 2009, it is a great feeling. This is probably a big stage, where we play as a national team. It is important for us to recognise that and try to give it our best.”
Ganga, who has played 48 Tests and 35 ODIs for Team http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760, is of the view that the high-profile tournament will help the young players in polishing their skills and paving the way for their selection in the national team and the cash-rich Indian Primer
League (IPL).
The CL-2011 is going to start from September 19 with the qualifying matches that are scheduled to be played by the 21st of the month.
Ganga, who performed very well and in the last edition, is determined to replicate the same and lead his team to triumph.
The 32-year-old has 31 T20s to his name with 433 runs, that include a fifty too. He has worked a lot to prepare his team for the mega event throughout the year.
