Mahela Jayawardene, the Sri Lankan captain, is of the opinion that his side will have an edge over India in the five-match One Day International (ODI) series because the Islanders have played a lot of competitive cricket in the last couple of months.

Jayawardene however, understands that the Indian players will be much fresher compared to his side, and their energy level is likely to be better in the series.
"We have had the match practice and the guys are in pretty good form, we will try and continue that,” the Sri Lankan captain expressed. “For the Indians, it's a different story, they have to get back to a rhythm. On the other hand, they are fresher than
us after us going through six months of continuous cricket."
