We will look to win in Sri Lanka: Darren Sammy
West Indian captain Darren Sammy has said that he will look to play some quality cricket in their series against Sri Lanka and play with the passion that West Indian cricket is known for. Sammy replaced
Chris Gayle as the captain of the side in all three formats of the game.
Unfortunately for the new captain, West Indies’ record in Sri Lanka is abysmal. The two sides have met six times in Sri Lanka and the visitors have lost five and drawn one. The last five games have all been
won by Sri Lanka in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758.
However, speaking to the media after reaching Colombo in Sri Lanka where the West Indies will play three Test matches, five ODIs and a solitary T20I, Sammy exuded confidence and said: "We want to win, to
play well and bring the passion and pride back to the West Indies. We are a little bit inexperienced, young, but we have put in a good preparation work ahead of our coming here. I am looking forward to the practice game.”

Sammy had earlier said that the selectors had decided to give the youngsters more chances to play in the squad. He said that he had confidence in the team and assured of a good show.
“I am very confident in all the players I have here, likewise all the players are confident in making the team and being here and to give off their best for the West Indies.”
The West Indian side consists of some young players who have very little or no experience playing in the five-day format of the game. This includes the supremely talented http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adrian-Barath-c42094 and others like Nelon
Pascal and Devon Thomas. All-rounder Andre http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Russell-c87177 will also be on his first tour.
