We will not be complacent, says http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AJ-Strauss-c964 - Cricket News Update

England’s Test captain, Andrew Strauss has claimed that he is not going to take India lightly in the last match of the series at the Oval, even though the home team has already attained an unassailable lead in
the series.
Strauss and his men defeated the Men in Blue by emphatic margins in the first three matches of the series at Lord's, Trent Bridge and Edgbaston. These victories has also meant that England has replaced India
as the number one ranked Test team of the world.
However, the English captain wants to win the last match of the series, in order to whitewash the Indians and claim a historic 4-0 win.
England faced a similar kind of a situation back in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 earlier this year when they had already retained the Ashes but went on to win the last match as well. It is very easy for any team to be complacent
after such huge victories but the left-hander claimed that his team will remain at their best.
Strauss said, "There's always that danger of taking our foot off the gas, but I hope and expect that we won't fall into that trap. I think we had a similar situation in Australia and reacted really well in Sydney.
That's certainly what we're trying to do this week. I'm absolutely certain that India will want to finish the tour on a high note and we have to stop them doing that.”
This is one of the most fascinating performance by a team in modern day cricket as almost all the English players have contributed in their team’s victories and looked a far more balanced unit than http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.
Strauss added that achieving the number one ranking is not the end of the world for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749 as there are some huge challenges coming up. He believes that the upcoming tours of sub-continent are going to be very
difficult for England.
“There's so many challenges ahead for us as a side. There's the subcontinent this winter, there's http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 coming over and then India in the winter after that followed by the World Test Championship," the
English captain added.
