We will take one game at a time, expresses http://www.senore.com/Cricket/R-Dravid-c2229 – Cricket News Update
The former Indian captain and top-order batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 is going to be a huge test for the Indian team and said that the Men in Blue are going to focus on one match at a time.
The first Test of the series is going to start in Melbourne from the 26th of December, 2011.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 is currently rated amongst the top teams of international cricket, whereas, Australia is going through a rebuilding phase after the retirement of so many of their great cricketers.
Usually Australia is extremely hard to beat at home and very few teams have given the Kangaroos a tough time at their own backyard. However, the recent performances of both the teams suggest that the upcoming battle is going to be a tough one.
Dravid, who is considered as one of the legends of the modern day cricket, holds the key in the Indian batting line-up and he will have to be at his best in this series. The ‘wall of India’ expressed that his complete focus is on winning the series for his
country, instead of achieving personal milestones. He feels that India will have to be consistent in their game, if they are to have any chance of dismantling the Aussies.
Rahul said, “We have to prepare well and start the series well. We will play one Test match at a time and the key will be consistency from a lot of players. It's not going to be individual performances that will win us this series. This series will be won
by consistent performances from a lot of players in the team.”
The right-handed batsman further claimed that he is in great touch at the moment but he will still have to work very hard against a strong Australian bowling attack to score runs.
“It's nice to be in good form but that does not mean you will score runs, I still have to do my preparation, I'll still have to work hard and earn every single run, especially in Australia. Being in good form, gives me confidence but that's about it”, he
added.
